Chris Weidman will defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight title against Vitor Belfort at UFC 184 on Feb. 28 in Los Angeles.

Weidman, who holds a perfect 12-0 record, was supposed to defend his title against Belfort in May, but the 37-year-old challenger withdrew from the fight after the Nevada State Athletic Commission banned the use of testosterone-replacement therapy.

The fight was rescheduled for December, but Weidman was forced to pull out from the fight after sustaining a broken left hand. Belfort expressed doubt about Weidman's injury, which angered the reigning middleweight champion.

"I don't know him as a person but with the TRT and failed drug tests, I want to completely destroy him," Weidman said via ESPN. "He actually came out today and said he hasn't talked trash, but he was the one who, when I got injured, said I wanted to keep the belt for Christmas -- basically calling me a liar."

Weidman added that he knows Belfort worked hard to become one of the best mixed martial artists, but he has doubts if his challenger fought clean in his previous fights, including in his knockout wins against Michael Bisping, Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson.

"If you look at him in some of his fights, it's kind of crazy, what human being looks like that naturally?" Weidman said via MMA Fighting. "Go into your own logic and figure that out on your own. But I'm not going to be the guy who victimizes him and says he's juicing, because I don't really know."

The 30-year-old champion, who successfully defended his title against Lyoto Machida in July, is aching to prove that he is the better fighter, but Weidman fears that Belfort won't make it to their showdown because the Brazilian is set to undergo random drug testing.

"I'm worried about whether he's going to get drug tested, then when I found out he did, I'm crapping my pants the past two weeks, hoping he's still fighting me," Weidman said. "That's the guy I want to fight. That's what the fight we've been talking about for a year now. That's the fight I want. I'll be disgusted if something happens."
