Week 12 of the 2014 NFL season kicks off Thursday with a classic AFC West rivalry game between the Oakland Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs on NFL Thursday Night Football.

The Chiefs and Raiders have had a fierce rivalry between them since the 1960s. These two teams don't get a lot of national media attention when compared to other teams, but fans of both clubs know how strong this rivalry is. The Chiefs and Raiders have played each other over 100 times in their storied history.

Let's see who has the edge in this game:

Kansas City Chiefs (7-3)

For the second consecutive season, Andy Reid and Alex Smith have the Chiefs in contention to win the AFC West. After losing to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5, the Chiefs have won their last five consecutive games. The Chiefs defeated the Seattle Seahawks in their last game, 24-20.

The Chiefs have the No. 1 pass defense in the NFL, not having allowed a single quarterback to throw for more than 300 yards against them this season. Much of the reason their pass defense has been so successful is because of the pass rush. Justin Houston leads the NFL in sacks with 12, and Tamba Hali and Dontari Poe each have five sacks.

Offensively, Jamaal Charles continues to show he's one of the most dynamic running backs in the league. Charles has a team-leading 692 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. Charles also has 148 receiving yards this season. Knile Davis is having a breakout season with 421 rushing yards, providing a great rushing combination with Charles.

Despite not having a single touchdown thrown to a wide receiver this season, Alex Smith is getting the job done. Smith only has four interceptions, and he is completing more than 66 percent of his passes so far. Dwayne Bowe and Travis Kelce have been Smith's favorite targets this season.

The Chiefs haven't allowed a single rushing touchdown this season so far.

Oakland Raiders (0-10)

This is a season Raiders fans would quickly like to forget.

The Oakland Raiders are the only winless team remaining in the NFL at 0-10. Many NFL experts believe the Raiders have a chance at joining the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only winless teams in the Super Bowl era.

Offensively, the Raiders are the worst team in all of football, ranking last in points per game and yards per game. The Raiders offense has not eclipsed the 400-yard mark in a single game this entire season. Quarterback Derek Carr has played well for a rookie with 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions, but he just doesn't have the pieces around him to succeed.

Defensively, things haven't been much better. The Raiders rank 27th overall in points allowed, and they're not getting turnovers. Free agent addition Justin Tuck leads the Raiders with just two sacks.

The Raiders would love nothing more than to add a loss to the Chiefs' season, especially at home on national television.

Schedule, Where to Watch

The Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders will play each other on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 8:25 p.m. EST. The game will be played at the O.co Stadium in Oakland, California. The game will be shown on the NFL Network. Fans can view a live game stream here.

Predictions

This should have all the ingredients for a blowout, but we should see a close game. The Raiders always play the Chiefs tough, and they will be playing at home. The Chiefs just need to get out of Oakland with a victory, no matter how ugly it is. Expect Charles to have a great game.

Chiefs win 20-17
