"Orange Is the New Black" actress Laverne Cox has been quite busy lately, which is great news for Sophia fans.

Although Season 2 of the Netflix hit was hardly without its Sophia moments (how else would the prison mates have learned which hole their pee comes out of?), some fans craved more from the transgender prisoner with a heart and style of gold.

Luckily, Cox promises some captivating new storylines for Sophia in Season 3 of "Orange Is the New Black."

"What the writers have written for my character is very, very exciting," Cox told Latin Post on the red carpet at the 2014 International Emmy Awards held at New York City's Hilton Hotel on Monday. "It was really exciting for me to shoot."

Although Cox was thrilled about the route Sophia is embarking on, she admits that she is not so certain about what viewers will think.

"I think everyone will be -- I don't know how people are gonna be," she explained. "I know I had a really good time shooting it, and it was very special for me as an actress and the stories are really powerful. So I think hopefully for the people who thought they were cheated [out of Sophia], they won't feel that way in Season 3 'cause you never know."

If you can't wait for Season 3, there's plenty more of Cox to go around. On Wednesday, she co-hosted "The View," which gave her the opportunity to see the "pretty awesome" Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett.

Next week, Cox can be seen on Bravo's "Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce," which premieres on Dec. 2.

From computer stream, to the small screen to the big screen, Cox also said she is "talking about some film projects."

In the mean time, those who want to see Cox outside of a screen can see her in person at various tour stops around the country before the year ends.

"In the past year I've probably been to 80 different cities, telling my story and talking about the intersections of race, class and gender, and I love, love, love that work," she said.

Cox also has motivational speeches planned into 2015. Check out the full schedule here.

Last, but not least, Season 3 of "Orange Is the New Black" does not have an official release date yet, but rumors claim new episodes will appear on Netflix in the summer of 2015, as new episodes will reportedly be done filming by the end of 2014, BREATHEcast reports.
