Ximena Sariñana 2014: Source Claims Judge Refuses to Promote 'Mexico Tiene Talento' Because She's Too Famous [Watch]
Ximena Sariñana's newest album was released in November, and the singer has been busy promoting her latest work. One source, however, said that Juan Pablo Ybarra, executive producer of "Mexico Tiene Talento," is upset that the 29-year-old singer refuses to promote the show on which she is a judge.
According to TV Notas, the source alleges that Sariñana thinks she is too famous to promote the show and is not worried about facing consequences for her lack of cooperation because she is irreplaceable. The source adds that Sariñana won't talk about the reality TV show because it is not a part of her contract.
Recently, the singer was transparent with her fans by sharing a list of questions that she would not answer. The Mexican version of "America's Got Talent" was not on the list.
Sariñana did, however, say that she did not want the press to say "tell us about your album" because it signaled someone who didn't come prepared to the interview. She also didn't want to talk about Asperger Syndrome, which she denied having in October, what her romantic situation is or her friends' personal lives.
In October, a video of Sariñana crying on the first episode of "Mexico Tiene Talento" went viral. The video has received more than 8 million views.
A contestant, Pablo Lopez, 43, walked up to a microphone with a cane in one hand and a boombox in the other. He started singing "Old Time Rock and Roll" by Bob Seger. Sariñana's jaw dropped when she heard his voice, and she looked around at her fellow judges. She eventually started crying.
"I don't have any words," she said. "You left me super shocked. When you see art that's so beautiful ... I don't have any words. Thank you for being here."
