Fab also tweeted to spread the news about his latest effort, along with its artwork and trailer:

The "You Be Killin' 'Em" hitmaker's new record, which fans assumed it would be highly anticipated "Loso's Way 2," is a nod to a track off his mixtape "Soul Tape 3." He recently spoke with MTV about what the listeners could expect to hear from him in the near future.

"The album is not really just telling a story, but it's having a lot of fun," he said. "It's very '90s-inspired and '90s themed, a lot of flips and beats from the '90s are on there."

"It was a golden era in hip-hop to me," he said. "It was where I fell in love with hip-hop and really admired everything that was going on within the culture."

The follow-up to 2009 "Loso's Way" will feature its first street leak called "Lituation."

"You can come into a situation and it can be [calm] and you can turn it up and get it a little lit," he said. "It's a very aggressive New York street record, and I wanted to start with that just to get the feel and get you there first, [then] the rest of the album will take you different places."

Fabolous' digital-only album "The Young OG Project" is set for a release on Christmas Day via Desert Storm/Def Jam Records.

"I always looked at how records would come in the fourth quarter and people had a lot of excitement behind that," he said. "And that kinda slowed down, but when I started releasing mixtapes, I saw the energy of adults getting something for Christmas and I thought that was kinda cool."
