To celebrate Jay Z's milestone birthday, he and his superstar wife, Beyonce, traveled to Iceland on Monday for some well-earned relaxation. The rapper turned 45 on Thursday while vacationing in the Nordic country.

The couple are reportedly staying in the swanky Trophy Lodge in Uthlid, South Iceland. So far, Blue Ivy's parents have been taking in sights like the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa, a popular tourist destination in the country. Music's power couple were also seen bundled up in cold-weather gear traveling by helicopter to the spa, which is located in the middle of a lava field in the Reykjanes Peninsula, on Dec. 4. The spa's website states that visitors get a complete spa experience and can be pampered with services like silica mud masks while floating in the mineral-rich water.

The pair also reportedly took a helicopter tour over the Holuhraun eruption, a volcano that has been actively erupting since this past August.

While 2-year-old Blue Ivy has not been spotted with her mom and dad, paparazzi have snapped many photos of the performers during their getaway.

In September, Jay Z celebrated Queen Bey's 33rd birthday by taking her on a yacht trip and sharing a 33-second YouTube video dedicated to his wife and musical collaborator on hits like "Drunk in Love."

The past year has been a big one for Mr. and Mrs. Carter, as they joined forces for the "On The Run" world tour. Beyonce dropped her self-titled album, which recently earned six Grammy nominations, including the coveted Album of the Year category. The "Drunk in Love" duet between the couple also earned nominations in Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.

When this year's Forbes Celebrity 100 list was released, Bey topped the list, reportedly earning $115 million in the past year. Her husband still made a substantial salary, coming in at No. 6 on the list with $60 million.
