While Ulises struggles with distancing himself from Acacia, who betrayed him when she testified against him, other characters are also going through their own issues. Cristina has an accident that lands her in the hospital, and Acacia tries to not feel jealous about Esteban's relationship with her mother. (Catch up on episodes 76-80 here.)

Here's what to expect in episodes 81-85 of "La Malquerida."

Episode 81:

Danilo tells Norberto that when he is owner of the Benavente farm, they will talk about other business deals. Alejandra is upset and asks Danilo what he did to Father Roque.

Acacia consoles Esteban, but he tells her that she doesn't understand anything. He adds that he has to go see his wife in the hospital.

Episode 82:

Esteban tells Acacia that if what she wanted was distance between them, then that's what is going to happen because he doesn't even want to see her.

Cristina is not doing much better. She begins to throw all the items around her after having miscarried. Acacia tells Alejandra that she wants to console Esteban, and Alejandra asks Acacia if she is more upset about Ulises or Esteban freezing her out.

Episode 83:

Acacia tells Cristina that she needs to be brave and move forward, so that she can save her marriage. Cristina tells Acacia, if she is so worried about Esteban, she should leave with him.

Esteban tells Acacia that, though their love is forbidden, the two want to be together. They passionately kiss.

Episode 84:

Acacia realizes that the more she tries to distance herself from Esteban, the closer she feels to him.

Cristina tells Rosa that Esteban deserves to be with someone who can give him the child he so wants. Acacia tells Esteban that she does feel the same way about him, and she kisses him.

Episode 85:

Cristina tells Acacia that, from now on, she will be in charge of the ranch. She thanks Esteban for everything he has done for her.

Juliana asks Acacia why she is there. Seconds later, she sees Esteban. She starts wondering if something happened between the two.

Hector tells Cristina that, if she no longer wants to be with Esteban, she should let him be more like a friend.
