Many have taken to social media to remember the late singer on the anniversary of her death. Juan Rivera previously told People En Español that Jenni's children didn't want to celebrate the painful day.
"It's because the 9th of December is a very tragic day in the lives of my nephews, nieces and the entire family, and in reality, they want to be home alone on that day," he said.
Still, the children have written some messages on their social media accounts.
Jenni's daughter, Chiquis Rivera, shared a link to Jenni's music.
"To keep celebrating her life!!! #JenniLives My favorites of my mom on #beatsmusic https://beats.mu/a0GLV ," she said.
Jacqui Rivera wrote a much lengthier message on Instagram, which featured a picture of her and her siblings at the 2014 Jenni Lives concert.
"So proud to call you my mother!" she said. "And so blessed that God gave you to me. Instead of being sad that you're not here. I will be thankful for the 23 years God allows me to have such an amazing person as my mom."
Jacqui continued to talk about how many people's lives Jenni touched, and she thanked everyone else who still work to make Jenni's dreams come true.
Rosie Rivera shared a picture of a "Frozen" greeting card. The card has Elsa and Anna linking arms.
"Thank you Chay for show me true love," Rosie said. "Your love continues to thaw my heart. I still believe because of you. You changed the world."
