It was the third time the event, which was aired on Univision, took place. Starting at 9 p.m. EST, Teletón USA was live in New York City, Chicago, Miami, San Antonio and Los Angeles. The event runs for 30 hours, meaning that it will end early Sunday morning.

Prince Royce performed early on, and he made sure to give fans lots of special attention. He also donated money at the makeshift Citi Bank that was featured on stage.

Chiquis Rivera performed "La Malquerida," and she announced that she had a surprise. She brought two giant checks for the event. She was donating $5,000 from the Boss Bee Foundation and $15,000 from Jenni Rivera.

Luis Coronel also performed, and he moved many to tears. Fans threw roses at the stage while he sang.

It wasn't just singers who showed up to the event. Those who weren't musically blessed came to meet some of the children who looked up to them.

One boy's dream was to meet Miguel "El Piojo" Herrera, so the soccer coach was there to bring a smile to the young boy's face. Herrera even brought him a custom jersey.
