Since "Breaking Bad" went out with a gory and glorious bang in 2013, fans of the dark meth dealing drama have been absolutely jonesing for more of the sleek, bleak, and morally ambiguous world they had come to spend their Sunday nights sweating over.

Fans of the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning series have been salivating in anticipation over the coming "Breaking Bad" prequel, "Better Call Saul," and have been mercilessly teased by ads along the way.

AMC wasted little time in tailoring together a spin off series staring Bob Odenkirk, who played the smarmy and secure-in-his-own-sin criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.

In a nine-second trailer, Saul pontificates in a kind of self-rationalizing mantra about his existence.

"Lawyers?" he says. "We're like health insurance -- you hope you never need it but man oh man, not having it? No."

In addition, there is a gaudy bettercallsaul.com website that advertises the character's shady legal services, hawking everything from dealing with DUIs to getting out of child support payments.

Now there is an official poster where our lawyer looks spiritually lacerated -- his hands atop a pay phone, his head lolling and the receiver dangling, looking stranded and desolate.

Odenkirk has been critically lauded for his contributions as the single comic voice in the otherwise over-serious drama. In a 2013 interview with NPR, he noted how glad he was to bring a comic tone to the show, and described his character's nature.

"Saul has all the danger at arm's length, which is how he likes it,” Odenkirk said. “The people around him may be under the threat of death or arrest, prison, but he himself will never be in the cross hairs.”

"Better Call Saul" has already been picked up for Season 2 and will debut on Feb. 8 at 10 p.m..
