Lux is an immensely powerful champion in "League of Legends," especially on ARAM. That's because the map is so narrow that it's actually quite difficult to miss your targets on a consistent basis when using her abilities .

However, you can still fail to tap into Lux's full damage potential on ARAM if you build her incorrectly. There have been way too many instances where we've seen Lux players employ subpar builds, only to suffer from weak damage. Ultimately, they fail to make an impact on matches, and often are big contributing reasons why their teams lose.

That's why we've come up with this Lux build guide, which tells you what items you need to get to ensure that you can cream any enemy champion.

LoL Lux Item Build Guide: How to Nuke and Do High Amounts of Damage with Lux

1. Rabadon's Deathcap

This item is a no brainer. It gives you extremely high amounts of Ability Power, and increases your total Ability Power by an extra 30 percent as well. Rabadon's Deathcap is just one of those items that every mage, including Lux, needs to have in their inventory if they want to maximize their damage output.

2. Void Staff

If you get Rabadon's Deathcap, you might force enemy champions to build magic resist in order to protect themselves from you. That's why you need to get Void Staff, which gives you 70 Ability Power and 35 percent Magic Penetration.

Even if enemies don't start building items with Magic Resist before you start to get Void Staff, be proactive. Don't wait for the enemy to start counter-building. By building Void Staff, you're countering anyone's potential efforts to counter you.

3. Deathfire Grasp

Like Void Staff, this item is a tank killer. It gives you 120 Ability Power, which is the same amount that Rabadon's Deathcap provides. On top of that, the active ability that's unique to this item deals damage to an enemy champion that's equal to 15 percent of their maximum health. So, the more maximum health that your target has, the more damage that this active ability will do.

In addition, the active ability on Deathfire Grasp amplifies any magic damage done to the target enemy champion by 20 percent for four seconds. To top it off, Deathfire Grasp will lower Lux's cooldowns by 10 percent.

Simply put, this is a fantastic item.

4. Zhonya's Hourglass

This is the third item on this list that gives you 120 Ability Power, mostly thanks to the Needlessly Large Rod that you need to complete each item on here outside of Void Staff.

Zhonya's Hourglass has two key survivability components. One gives you 50 Armor, and the other, which is an active ability that's specific to this item, puts you in stasis. However, while you're unable to move, you're invulnerable for 2.5 seconds.

That could be all the time you need until your spell cooldowns refresh. We've been in many situations where we were being chased by enemy champions, only to be left alone once we hit the active ability on Zhonya's Hourglass.

Even if they stick around, after the 2.5 seconds is up, there's a decent chance that the cooldown on your Light Binding spell (Q) could be up. This could give you a solid chance to escape the grasp of your pursuers by snaring them in place once you emerge from stasis.

5. Abyssal Scepter

Abyssal Scepter is a key item in this lineup.

Abyssal Scepter adds 70 Ability Power, 50 Magic Reist, and lowers the magic resistance of nearby enemy champions by 20. That means anyone on your team who deals magic damage, including you, will benefit from this item. Plus, the extra resistance to magic damage gives you a decent amount of survivability.

6. Sorcerer's Shoes

This is a no-brainer. Sorcerer's Shoes gives you an extra 15 Magic Penetration, and 45 movement speed. When combined with Void Staff and Abyssal Scepter, you're guaranteed to cut through a significant amount of enemy magic resistance, whether your foes stack up on items with that attribute or not.
