Dania Ramirez, who portrays Rosie on Lifetime's Devious Maids, is having a boy...and a girl. Late last month at her baby shower, she disclosed to her closest family members and friends that she and her husband, Bev Land, would be welcoming fraternal twins into the world. When Ramirez made the big announcement, she used butterflies to assist her.

"My friend had this great idea to get these butterflies and release them as I told everyone what sex the babies were," Ramirez said, "I know, it's crazy. The butterflies are linked with nature, so it all symbolizes birth and life...They were in a box and when I opened it and the butterflies flew away, everyone could see that the lid of the box said, 'Boy and girl.'"

Ramirez, 33, and her family celebrated the impending arrival of her children at Pearl's in West Hollywood, Calif., enjoying baby-themed shower games and red velvet cocktails. Also, there to help her celebrate were her Devious co-stars, Roselyn Sanchez. Judy Reyes, Edy Ganem, Ana Ortiz, and Rebecca Wisocky, and the show's creator Marc Cherry. Many of the cast members, already mothers, offered Ramirez advice on being a first time mother and working mom.

Ramirez has had a productive, yet understated career, appearing in the background and sidelines of films, music videos and television shows since the 1990s. She was discovered while working in a convenience store as a teenager and was cast in a soda commercial.

She moved to New York from her native Dominican Republic to pursue acting, and then to Los Angeles. She's appeared in music videos for Jay Z, LL Cool J, Santana, and Wisin & Yandel. Her film appearances include She Hates Me, Fat Albert, X-Men: The Last Stand and Premium Rush. She's made noticeable appearances on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Sopranos, Entourage and, most recently, Devious Maids. She's also endorsed Queen Latifah's line of CoverGirl Cosmetics.
