Lance Bass and Michael Turchin Wedding: JC Chasez Performs as 'N Sync Bandmate Gets Married
Lance Bass and boyfriend of three years, Michael Turchin, married Saturday, Dec. 20, reports E! Online.
The couple exchanged vows at the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California surrounded by family and friends. 'N Sync singers Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick were in attendance. Chasez sang for the newlywed's first dance. The wedding day was officiated by friends JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, which Lance deemed "the easiest call of the whole wedding."
Celebrity guests included Christina Applegate, Carmen Electra, Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean, Pussycat Dolls co-founder Robin Antin and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Vanderpump with her husband, Ken Todd.
In a recent interview, Bass told E! Online what his wedding day will include, "The whole wedding itself is very classy, you know. We wanted to plan something that could last for 100 years. When we show our grandchildren this amazing tape of our wedding, the best wedding video ever, I want them to be able to look at this and be like 'Wow that stood the test of time.' So we're using a lot of elements in the wedding that are classy and one of those is definitely our first dance. The song we chose is a song that lasts forever, something that is very special to us."
The former boy band superstar said that growing up, because his name is Lance, he was obsessed with Sir Lancelot and medieval times. He wanted the wedding to have a royal theme.
"My only note to the guests were 'I want you to pretend like you're going to a royal wedding at the Met Ball.' So it can be over the top, high fashion, and just incredible fashion, and that just kind of set the tone for the wedding right there," Bass said.
The wedding colors were indeed royal-dark reds and purples with splashes of lime green.
Bass and Turchin started dating in January 2011. Bass proposed to Turchin in September 2013.
You can experience the grandiose wedding from beginning to end in a 90-minute E! special airing February 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, "Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding."
