Christopher Uckermann Motorcycle Accident: Former RBD Member Talks Taking Painkillers, Spending Christmas With His Girlfriend
Christopher Uckermann was run over by a police motorcycle recently, and he is now recovering.
Uckermann revealed to Televisa that he has injuries on his spine, neck, arm and right foot, and he hopes to be completely better in a month or two after going to physical therapy, according to Quien.
"I'm fine," he said. "It was spectacular, but God protected me and it wasn't worse. I have to be careful ... Now, I'll be at home some days, taking painkillers and then I'll go to therapy."
Uckermann said he spoke to the officer on the bike and learned that he also has injuries from the accident. The former RBD member added that the officer's helmet was destroyed and that everything between him and the officer is fine.
Uckermann said he will be spending Christmas with his family and girlfriend, Natalia Tellez.
"I'm going to be calm at home," he said. "I'm going to eat romeritos for dinner, just as with any other Christmas. I think I'm even going to enjoy it more."
On his Twitter account, Uckermann shared similar messages.
In one message on Dec. 21, he said that he was thankful that the accident wasn't more serious.
"Fue un accidente aparatoso.Gracias a dios fueron solo esguinces de cuello, pie, mano derecha y golpes de espalda baja y la columna," he said.
In another tweet on the same day, he thanked everyone for wishing him well.
"Gracias a todos!" he wrote.
Uckermann hasn't updated his account in three days.
About a year ago, one of his former "Rebelde" co-stars Christian Chavez reportedly tried to commit suicide, according to Latin Times.
Uckermann spoke out about the incident at the time.
"Christian has always said what is on his mind, but he has always been grounded," he said. "It surprised me, but they are life's downfalls. We sometimes don't think about what we upload to Twitter, but he is a great person."
