The New York Giants have not had a losing season in nearly a decade, but this year's 0-5 start puts that streak in serious jeopardy.

Big Blue will be in hot pursuit of its first win of the year tonight in primetime fashion as the Giants travel to Chicago to take on the Bears at Soldier Field.

The Thursday Night matchup will be an important one for both teams - not just New York. The 3-2 Bears are tied with the Lions for first place in the NFC North and the team stands only a half game up on the 2-2 Green Bay Packers.

And for New York, just about everything has gone wrong this season. The defense has been disastrous and the Giants have given up at least 31 points in every single game this season; on the offensive side of the ball the Giants have been just as dismal. Plagued by injuries, the porous offensive line has allowed opposing defense to run roughshod all over Eli Manning.

"It's everyone, the receivers, the offensive line. Everyone is to blame for some of these losses," receiver Victor Cruz said. "It's pretty frustrating. We understand that one of these games has to turn for us."

It's hard for the Giants to turn things around with so many injuries, which extend further than just the offensive line. The injury-riddled running backs have also translated into a non-existent rushing game for Big Blue. The Giants average 56.8 yards per game, which is the worst in the league.

Surprisingly, the Giants still find themselves very much alive in the NFC East. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys are tied for first place with 2-3 records while Washington is just a game behind at 1-3.
