Wale Hot New Music Video 2014: 'The Body' Featuring Jeremih [Watch]
Wale has finally released a brand new music video for the lead single titled "The Body" featuring Jeremih off his upcoming LP "The Album About Nothing."
While cruising through the streets of New York City in his chauffeured Maybach, the Washington, D.C. emcee has his eyes set on a beautiful young woman. He quickly jumps out of the limo and flirts with her, before taking her out on a romantic dinner date.
The Maybach Music Group rhymer then impresses his lady with food, wine and his boyish charm. "You're like a Maybach, thinking damn, they ain't even make 'em like you no more," he raps. "It's like a high beam gleaming through your eye (bling) / I adore you up baby suicide."
R&B crooner Jeremih also makes his appearance in the smooth visual to offer the hook verse, which is actually lifted from R. Kelly's 1995 classic slow jam "You Remind Me of Something." "Baby you got a body like a Benz / And I'm just trying to drive it once again," he sings.
Last week, the "Lotus Flower Bomb" hitmaker dropped his mixtape "Festivus," which was famously inspired by his love for his favorite comedy series "Seinfeld." He is currently working on the third installment "The Album About Nothing," following "The Mixtape About Nothing" and "More About Nothing." It is set for a release on March 31, 2015.
He previously detailed his latest project to MTV News back in April. I've spent some good time with Jerry [Seinfeld] and we're gonna keep building on it," he said. "I wanna make it super incredible and super honest and I'm really putting the fans first on this one. With 'The Gifted,' I [did] things musically and sonically that I felt I wanted to do for myself, but this one is solely for the fans and solely for the people who made me who I am."
