Earlier last month, HBO released short nine-second snippets from Season 5 of "Game of Thrones" on its official "GoT" Facebook page, posting a video advertisement that suggest viewers subscribe to a new website in order to receive "The Sight," or a glimpse at the upcoming season, which returns in 2015.

A social media campaign was also launched in which the fans were alerted that a "three-eyed raven" would give fans "visions" of the new season ahead, Huffington Post reports. Posted over Twitter a message said, "The Raven brings the Sight," with a link to a new teaser video. Like the prophecies given to Bran Stark, there's a catch: The video could only be watched once and afterwards that, it's gone forever. Showing glimpses of Sansa and Tyrion, a figure rowing a boat over what appear to be moors, a book snapping shut, and a three-eyed raven, the lighting fast preview also showed Cersei standing behind a window, which fan website Winter Is Coming suspects is from when the upcoming season filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia in early summer.

However, the biggest surprise came today when the emblematic network treated fans with annual end-of-the-year recap, offering sneak peeks of the most-anticipated season to come.

Winter Is Coming analyzed the 2:26-minute video, which has gone viral. Throughout the clip, fan favorite Tyrion is seen in disguise with dyed hair and a full beard, we assume because he blamed for the regicide of Joffrey Baratheon and wanted for the patricide of Tywin Lannister. Tyrion's sister Cersei is also seen in the review with House Lannister guards in what appears to be the Red Keep.

The video also follows wild-spirited tomboy Arya just as she arrives in Braavos, wearing the same clothes she wore during her adventures with The Hound. Perhaps viewers won't get the drastic makeover that the writers of the show guaranteed.

Notorious for his long process in materializing new work, George R.R. Martin's long-awaited follow-up "The Winds of Winter," the sixth novel in his "A Song of Ice and Fire" series, is still in development.

With the writers of the hit one-hour TV show nearly caught up, it appears that a bunch of new material is being scripted for the series. For instance, Olly (Brenock O'Connor), the orphan who eventually killed Ygritte in the Battle at the Wall, is shown with Jon Snow. Olly, created for the show, does not appear in the books.
