"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is one of the most highly anticipated blockbusters of 2016, and the sequel to the (moderately successful and not terrible) Superman film "Man of Steel" from 2013. While little is known regarding plot details, we are taking what we can get from different sources in the know.

Joe Letteri, the senior visual effects supervisor at Weta Digital, discussed an upcoming scene in a recent interview Collider. Teasing the scene, he said, "The sequence that we're doing is sort of self-contained, and I don't think you would've seen any of that yet. ... I can't really give any away, but it is a standalone sequence and I think you'll be able to pick it out when you do see it."

Letteri seems eager to tease audiences and fans with the new action blockbuster that is currently over a year away, and while tight-lipped about the movie, he has said enough to tantalize our imaginations with dreams of Batman and Superman duking it out -- or perhaps it involves a different villain?

A few reports, while currently limited, are spreading the rumor that Bizarro could be making an appearance in the new "Batman v Superman" film.

Bizarro is the evil "mirror image" of Superman and appeared for the first time in "Superboy" #68. Moviepilot has written a wonderful article on the possibility of Bizarro in the new "Batman v Superman" movie.

This film, as Moviepilot correctly pointed out, is a huge opportunity for the introduction and re-introduction of a slew of DC characters throughout the comic's history. We already know to expect Aquaman, portrayed by Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo from "Game of Thrones"), as well as Lex Luthor, played by Oscar-nominated Jesse Eisenberg ("The Social Network").

While this could easily turn into a "Spiderman 3" time fiasco with too many characters for the audience to really care about any of them, the casting of Callan Mulvey as a yet unnamed character has spurred speculation that he could be playing Bizarro or Metallo, both classic villains heavily featured in both the 90's animated series, as well as the comic books.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set for release March 25, 2016.
