TV fans of "Arrow" will see more of Roy when The CW series returns with all-new episodes later on this month.

In the epic midseason finale, "The Climb," Oliver learned his sister Thea was behind Sara's mysterious murder. It turns out that Thea was drugged and coaxed into killing Sara by her biological father, Malcom Merlyn, so he could kill Ra's al Ghu after he vowed to avenge Sara's death. Oliver took the wrap for Thea in order to protect her and faced off with Ra's in the eastern mountains without help from Team Arrow. During their fight, Ghul got the upper hand on Oliver and plunged his sword deep into his chest. Then, in a devastating blow, he pushed the Arrow off the edge of the mountain, apparently sending him to his death.

While viewers are dying to know how Oliver's fate will end, executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that Roy will step up in Oliver's absence.

"One of the things I was very straight with Colton [Haynes] about is I don't think we serviced his character quite as much as we would have liked in the first half of the season," said Guggenheim, according to Entertainment Weekly. "I'll say the stuff that he's got in Episodes 10, 11 and 12, it's pretty dang gangbusters. There's one scene in Episode 11 between him and John Barrowman that I think is some of his finest work on the show."

Guggenheim also dropped spoilers about Slade Wilson's return in Episode 14, "The Return," reports CarterMatt.

"Everyone's been asking: How does he feed himself?" Guggenheim said to Entertainment Weekly. "You're going to get an answer to that question. He loomed so large in Season 2 that his return in Episode 14 really makes it feel incredibly epic. You'll see why it's very appropriate for us to revisit Slade Wilson in Episode 14 when you see the end of Episode 13."

"Arrow" Season 3, Episode 10, "Left Behind," airs on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
