Growing rivals Big Show and Roman Reigns will take the spotlight on WWE SmackDown on Friday night as they are set to collide in an interesting showdown at Laredo Energy Arena in Texas.

In last week's episode, Reigns was in control against Rusev before Big Show interfered. Reigns gave the world's largest athlete a taste of his feared Superman punch. Big Show attempted to Spear the former "The Shield" member, but Reigns dodged and sent the 425-pound crashing to the announce table.

On Friday night, Seth Rollins along with Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury kicked off the episode with an in-ring promo. As expected, Reigns made his presence felt and ended up clearing the ring, prompting Big Show to come out as well.

A tag team match for the main event was arranged where Big Show and Rollins will collide against Reigns and a partner of his choice.

In the first official match on Friday night, Big E defeated Adam Rose. The Ascension then came out to cut a promo in the ring before defeating two local competitors, similar to what happened on WWE Raw on Monday night.

Alicia Fox then had a sneaky victory as she defeated Naomi by putting her foot on the rope to escape with the win.

WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos were pitted against Goldust and Stardust, and The Miz and Damien Mizdow in a Triple Threat match. The Usos retained their title after Goldust got pinned.

Before the main event, Sin Cara took down WWE Intercontinental champion Bad News Barrett in a non-title fight. After the match, Barrett was furious and hit Cara with his vaunted Bullhammer.

Rollins and Big Show came out first for the main event followed by Reigns. Fans were left wondering as Reigns came out without a partner before Dean Ambrose's entrance music played to the delight of the crowd, who were obviously excited to see two-thirds of the "The Shield" in a match again.

Ambrose and Reigns emerged victorious after Reigns speared and pinned Rollins to end the show.

Meanwhile, WWE announced that SmackDown will move to a new time slot starting next week. Fans can catch SmackDown every Thursday, 8 p.m. EST, starting Jan. 15 on Syfy.

"WWE's sizable and passionate fan base makes SmackDown the No. 1 entertainment show on Syfy and the most-watched, regularly scheduled program among key demographics on the network," WWE Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer Michelle Wilson said in a statement. "We look forward to bringing the WWE audience to Thursday nights on Syfy."
