Rihanna Hot New Album Release Date, Tracklist & Instagram: 'Diamonds' Singer to Perform Songs From 'R8' at Grammy Awards 2015? [Pics]
Rihanna might perform the new music off her highly anticipated "R8" album at this year's Grammy Awards.
Idolator first noticed that RiRi's drummer Aaron Drape had hinted at the potential surprise performance via his Instagram user name user name a_drape30. Drape revealed that "we have some shows coming up," and when one fan asked about the upcoming ceremony, he replied, "yup yup."
The musician, however, deleted the comment and set his account to private soon after.
The Barbadian star has been working on the follow-up to her 2012 "Unapologetic" album for quite a while, even during her holiday vacation back home:
According to The Sun via Unreality TV, the "Diamonds" hitmaker has reportedly registered 11 brand new tracks off her new record -- according to the "#R8" songs that she has protected with the publishers include Glass John-produced "Kiss It Better," which she recently teased via Instagram, as well as "All Night," "Ignite Me," "Ehh," "I Saw a Girl," "Intoxicated," "Overload," "Transducer," "Drive Alone," "Where I Belong" and the questionable "Burritos." Rihanna, however, has yet to confirm whether the aforementioned cuts will actually make the cut for the upcoming record's tracklist or not.
It has also been reported that song credits indicate that the "Stay" singer has been working with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder.
In addition, Ty Dolla $ign recently revealed that there is a song featuring himself, Kanye West, Paul McCartney and Rihanna.
"Me, Rihanna, 'Ye and Paul [McCartney] got a song about to drop," he told Billboard. "It's gonna drop soon. I heard they shot the video recently. I don't know what the final title is, but I know it's crazy so just be looking out for [it]."
Sam Smith also hinted at working on RiRi's eighth studio album.
"I'm personally really excited for Rihanna's album," he told Entertainment Weekly. "I know some stuff about that record that no one knows."
