AMC has released a two-minute trailer for the new series "Better Call Saul" starring character Saul Goodman, the notorious attorney from "Breaking Bad," reports CNN.

The trailer shows Saul, played by Bob Odenkirk, fighting for his shady clients using every method imaginable, some of which border on illegal, are ineffective or get him in hot water. The highly-anticipated new series will be familiar territory to fans of "Breaking Bad" who got to know Saul as Walter White's unscrupulous attorney.

In "Breaking Bad," unassuming high school chemistry teacher Walter White can barely make ends meet with his salary while his wife is expecting their second child, their teenage son battles cerebral palsy and he is diagnosed with lung cancer. He realizes that his cancer treatments will likely send his family into financial ruin, so he collaborates with an ex-student, Jesse Pinkman, to start cooking and selling meth.

The character Saul Goodman made his debut in the eighth episode of the second season of "Breaking Bad" appropriately titled "Better Call Saul" in which Walt and Jesse venture to his strip mall office in need of a lawyer for Badger, their street dealer who was arrested selling narcotics to an undercover cop.

Walt wants to hire Badger a "real lawyer" but Jesse is adamant Saul is the best choice. "You don't want a criminal lawyer... you want a criminal lawyer," Jesse explains.

Saul is the kind of guy who "knows a guy who knows a guy." He finds Walt and Jesse a drug distributor, arranges for Walt to launder drug money, and works for both when the two part ways, among other things.

In the upcoming prequel series, "Better Call Saul," fans get a closer look at the corrupt, over-the-top character they came to love in the first series.

"Better Call Saul" premieres on AMC in two parts Feb. 8 and 9.
