Kim Kardashian, Khloe, Kourtney Unveil New Lipsy Fashion Collection
From the reality television show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," to various magazine deals and personal appearances, to their own Kardashian Kollection fragrance and fashion line, the Kardashian family has established a giant entrepreneurial empire. Kim, Khloé and Kourtney now have partnered with British brand Lipsy, and reveal their new fashion collaboration.
The trio originally had exclusive rights to sell their line at Dorothy Perkins, owned by Sir Philip Green's Arcadia Group. Then, when the contract finally ended, they wanted to stock their label elsewhere, choosing Lipsy.
The Kardashian Sisters have worked together on their Lipsy range, which certainly reflects their signature style. The sexy campaign, which was photographed by Terry Richardson, features them in curve-hugging silhouettes that show off their body figure. The collection includes leopard print pieces, black dresses with lace details, leather miniskirts and many more.
Kim Kardashian mentions that Valentino, Azzedine, Alaïa and Isabel Marant have inspired the sisters' new collection; they make references to the couture designers in their designs.
"Valentino and Isabel Marant aren't really our style, but their influence is reflected in the collection," says Kim during her recent interview. "That idea of casual comfort that people love inspired the fabrics - there's a lot of stretch. You know an Alaïa dress will hold and suck you in? I wanted to make pieces like that, pieces to make you feel really good about yourself."
"For me, having people criticize what I wore and looked like when I was pregnant - that was hard. It made me feel insecure, so I have tried to avoid the limelight more. Once you start focusing on the other stuff, the fragrances and our fashion line, you stop worrying about the rest," she adds.
Lipsy collection launches on Thursday, October 24, in U.K. stores and online.
