Mortal Kombat X Gameplay and Release Date: New Trailer Video Reveals Characters, Game Clues [Watch]
"Mortal Kombat X" is getting closer and closer to its release date, and now, we finally have an official preview of what the game will look like on April 14 thanks to a new trailer.
Over the past few months we have seen photos, small videos, and confusing tweets from "Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon. Now, there is an official trailer, and it is pretty amazing. Titled "Mortal Kombat X - Who's Next? - Official Gameplay Trailer," the video shows some actual gameplay and the great graphics that next-gen systems provide; the detail seen in fighters destroying each other is incredible.
In the video, we see Kitana and Kung Lao and much more. Kitana is the Edenian princess but also a great fighter. She was one of the character's who previously gamers weren't sure would make it into the game. Kitana has some deadly fans that may look artistic to the eye, but they are very dangerous. The trailer shows her using the fans to slice up her opponent.
Goro is featured in the video, but as of right now only players in the U.K. who pre-order the game will get him, IncGamers.com reports. Someday, however, other gamers may be able to buy him through downloadable content (DLC).
Meanwhile, Kung Lao will be able to use his bladed hat to deal some damage to his opponents in "Mortal Kombat X" as the trailer reveals.
We stil do not know at this point what exactly the game will be like in its final version. With such graphic violence and realism, the game may need to be censored a little to be able to make it to American shelves. If Boon gets his way though, the graphic fighter will be as gorey as possible.
What do you think of "Mortal Kombat X?" Is it going to be the best fighter game ever made? Why or why not? Leave us a comment below and let us know what you think.
