Niall Horan maybe one of the most sought after lad in the world, but it seems like he has eyes only for one woman: Katy Perry.

The One Direction singer has proclaimed to the entire world (or at least, to 15.1 million Twitter followers) his love for "ROAR" singer, Katy Perry. In a recent tweet, Niall let it all out by asking the singer to marry him.

"I love you @katyperry! Thank you! Ps. Will u marry me?" the lad posted on his Twitter account.

The tweet quickly put the internet world abuzz, and breaking a number of the boyband's loyal follower's hearts.

According to Cambio, the proposal came after Perry performed her hit single "ROAR" at The X Factor U.K. where Niall was discovered, and gave the 20-year-old a shout out.

"I like that I let Niall through at one point, he is pretty cute. He is in a little band called One Direction," Katy Perry said after her performance, referring to the time she guest judged at the show when Horan auditioned, putting him through to the next round.

Notably, this isn't the first time Niall made a move with the singer. In 2012, at the MTV Video Music Awards, the 1D member got pretty close and personal with Kety Perry, even sharing a smooch with the KatyKat as she awarded the band with their 'Best Pop Video' moon man.

After the awards show, Horan sent out a tweet to Perry with an image of their little kiss and the caption: "@katyperry looks like its official ... me and you." To this, Katy replied: "I'll be your Mrs. Robinson..."

The proposal comes on the heels of Horan's reported break up with British singer Ellie Goulding. Metro U.K. reports that the two shared "27 days of romance" before calling the relationship over.

Niall Horan is currently touring the world with Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson as One Direction.
