Latina singer Selena Gomez has a good head on her shoulders, a good set of pipes and she is telling her fans, you can be sexy without showing tons of skin and flaunting your body.

In a speech during her "Stars Dance" stop in Philadelphia, the 21-year-old singer told her fans to be true to themselves. Gomez said she reads the stories people have sent her about what they are going through and she can relate, Fox News Latino reports.

"Everyday I'm told I'm not sexy enough or I'm not cool enough or if I did this or if I did that, I would be accepted," the former Disney Channel star told the crowded arena, according to E News!. "Let me tell you one thing - the sexiest thing I think, actually I know, is class and that's it."

The "Come and Get It" singer also showed her appreciation for her fans and their parents for putting their trust in her to stray away from the scandalous approach that singer Miley Cyrus has used to gain her fan base and the attention of millions. Her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber is guilty of flaunting his body and showing off his abs, however.

"I promise you that each and every one of you are made to be who you are and that is what is so attractive and beautiful," Gomez added.

According to People, the brunette beauty continued her message during her sold-out concert at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday.

"Look at this room! I don't have to do any of that to have love!" Gomez said.

Gomez is friends with singer Taylor Swift, who also embraces a more wholesome image and uses her talent and not her body to gain a wider fan base.
