Alan Thicke, best known for his fatherly role on "Growing Pains," had some things to say about another celebrated TV dad, Bill Cosby, at this year's Television Critics Association's semiannual press tour in Pasadena.

Thicke spoke with the Toronto Star about his thoughts on Bill Cosby and the many rape allegations surrounding him.

"When there's that much smoke, there must be some fire," Thicke said. "I'm sure that Bill must have been a bad boy. I think the issue will be to what degree."

Thicke then clarified his "to what degree" comment by expressing his belief some of Cosby's alleged victims could be lying. The fact none of the recent allegations have been tried in court leaves the current scandal up for much speculation, he said.

"I have trouble in where do you draw the line between consent and rape," Thicke said. "Where you have cases of someone going back for the third or first time. When did you get your first clue he wasn't right? It's such a serious issue, I wish I could trust the veracity of all the complaints."

While Thicke admitted to feeling Cosby is somewhat guilty, he insists he saw no signs of Cosby's "bad boy" behavior while working with the comedian on his 1970's ABC variety show, "Cos."

"In my history with Bill, I saw absolutely nothing of the controversy around him now. I just saw a guy who was doing his job. When I first met Bill his show was in some trouble ratings wise and ABC brought me in to try and get the ratings up. So we have history together," Thicke said.

Thicke's comments on Cosby partially mirror what Donald Trump recently said about the comedian at the TCA Winter Press Tour. Though he did not go into detail, Trump said he is not a fan of Cosby for a multitude of reasons.

"I am not a Cosby fan. I don't like him -- for many reasons. I have a specific reason, and it wasn't because of anything like you are thinking," Trump said.
