On Monday, Jan. 19, Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle made a guest appearance on an episode of "Late Night with Seth Myers," and gave the talk show host and "SNL" alum the scoop on what it's like working alongside such a strong cast in the much-anticipated "Avengers: Age of Ultron," the sequel to 2012's Marvel's "The Avengers Assemble" directed by Joss Whedon, according to ComicBook.com.

"After 'Iron Man,' Robert [Downey Jr.] and I struck up a friendship, and we're both very busy, but we get to see each other time and again," Cheadle says. "And now, this new 'Avengers' crew ... getting to do these movies and travel around the world, it doesn't suck."

Cheadle replaced Oscar-nominated Terrence Howard as Lt. Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes, best friend of Downey's Tony Stark character and the liaison between Stark Industries and the U.S. Air Force in the department of acquisitions, who ultimately becomes dutiful sidekick War Machine / Iron Patriot. "Avengers: Age of Ultron" marks the actor's third appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the 11th installment in the film franchise.

In 2005, Cheadle earned a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actor for performing in the lead role as Rwandan hotel manager Paul Rusesabagina in the historical drama film "Hotel Rwanda" (2004). Directed by Terry George, the film was set during the Rwandan Genocide. Cheadle won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2013 for his role as Marty Kaan in Showtime's "House of Lies."

Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" was scripted and directed by Joss Whedon, the vision behind "The Cabin in the Woods," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." The superhero epic features an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, James Spader and Samuel L. Jackson.

According to a press release:

"With S.H.I.E.L.D. destroyed and the Avengers needing a hiatus from stopping threats, Tony Stark attempts to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program with Ultron, a self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence and technological achievement. However, his plan backfires when Ultron decides that humans are the main enemy and sets out to eradicate them from Earth, and it is up to Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, along with support from Nick Fury and Maria Hill, to stop him from enacting his plans. Along the way, the Avengers encounter the powerful twins, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, as well as the familiar Vision."

"Avengers: Age Of Ultron" is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015 in cinemas across the U.S., in 3D and IMAX 3D. See the video clip here.
