The new cable network, Fusion, that targets the young Hispanic demographic, launched today, and President Obama is set to make a special guest appearance this evening, helping to introduce the network to audiences.

The TV and digital network, Fusion, is a collaborative venture between ABC News and Univision, and is going to broadcast news, pop culture segments and satirical features.

Yesterday, it was announced that Obama would be featured as a guest on AMERICA with Jorge Ramos. Obama expected to discuss immigration and Obamacare. The interview will take place this afternoon, at the White House, and will be conducted by the Fusion White House Correspondent and ABC News Senior National Correspondent Jim Avila, where they will also discuss other topics that are most important to the Latino community.

The network's goal is to "engage and champion" young American audiences through intelligent and compelling reporting, original lifestyle content, and comedic programing. The network will broadcast "news with an accent." Global economy, the environment, and technology will be frequent topics of discussion. The young network will rival veteran news stations that have been around for 60+ years. Fusion aims to prove that news doesn't have to boring, and it can be delivered with an effortless humor. Beginning with 20 million potential viewers, ABC News President Ben Sherwood hopes that the viewership growth reaches 60 million in five years' time.

The six major distributors who have agreed to carry the network are Cablevision, Charter, Cox, AT&T U-Verse, Verizon FIOS and Google Fiber.

The interview with President Obama will air for the first time on AMERICA, tonight at 7pm. Jorge Ramos also has an upcoming interview with lawmaker Senator Ted Cruz.
