Rihanna Hot New Songs Release 2015: Upcoming 'R8' Album Tracklist to Include 'Blame' DJ Calvin Harris?
It looks like Rihanna has changed her mind about Calvin Harris as her highly anticipated eighth studio album "R8" is now expected to feature the worldwide EDM star she once snubbed.
Calvin Harris, who previously collaborated with RiRi on hits "We Found Love" and "Where Have You Been," admitted last November that a song he produced for her had been dropped. The Scottish DJ told KISS FM that he only had time to do one track for the Barbadian singer since he was busy working on his own record "Motion."
"I had an album to finish, so I did that, but I did one track and Tinashe wrote the top line, and I did all the music," he said. "I love it, but I don't think [Rihanna] was into it. So I don't know what is going to happen to that because it's really good."
That month, Calvin Harris also spoke to The Sun about Rihanna's new album.
"No, I'm not on the Rihanna album," he said. "I did a few things for it, but they don't get back to you. There are a lot of people involved. ... It's okay, because I'm working on my stuff, and it's going fine."
However, Calvin Harris' "Blame" collaborator John Newman recently claimed otherwise.
"We started to look at tracks to put together for Rihanna," he told Billboard. "... And hopefully, I'll have more of a presence in America."
Meanwhile, Rihanna has reportedly registered a brand new song titled "All Night" featuring Florence +The Machine for the follow-up to 2012's "Unapologetic." According to a snapshot of the newly registered track (via PopJustice), the song information database credits the British indie rock band's lead vocalist Florence Welch and producer Paul Epworth, as well as RiRi herself (Robyn Fenty) and Christian Keyon Jr. Boggs. It is also speculated that the latest song has possibly sampled "Only If For A Night" off Florence + The Machine's 2012 hit album "Ceremonials."
