Is the Samsung Galaxy S5 in the U.S. going to get its (Android 5.0) Lollipop soon? All signs point to yes.

The waiting game might be impossibly frustrating to play -- especially in the U.S., which trails behind many other markets in the Android L release so far -- but it looks like Samsung Galaxy S5 owners won't have to wait much longer.

That's because momentum behind the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is increasing, with Samsung's custom TouchWiz interface on full, updated display, after Galaxy S5 handsets in the U.K. began receiving their OTA Android L update 10 days ago.

And it looks like previous anonymous reports saying that the highly-anticipated Android update was imminent were spot on, according to TechTimes. As the tech blog noted, the timing of a the U.K. points to the authenticity of an earlier rumor that started on Reddit, confirming the anonymous poster's timetable.

As we previously reported, an anonymous Redditor who claimed to be a Samsung insider (and achieved a verified certification by that particular Reddit forum's moderator) stated that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update would begin in January.

The timetable wasn't exactly impossible, but it did call for skepticism since it seemed to clash with the official "90-days after Android Lollipop's release" timeframe, which pointed to an update happening in early to mid-February at the most optimistic. The anonymous insider made the claim about two weeks before the release of Android L for the Samsung Galaxy S5 in the U.K.

Besides the timing, it appears the post was correct about Samsung's update priorities, which places the Galaxy S5 at the very top of the heap, with the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge right behind -- and 2013's two Galaxy flagships a little farther down the list.

In any case, January is slipping away, and with the Android 5.0 update release date for the Samsung Galaxy S5 seemingly guaranteed, worst case, to be sometime in February, GS5 owners' lucky month is about to arrive anyway.
