Howard Stern & Sam Smith Beef: Radio Show Host Insuts 'Stay With Me Singer'
Howard Stern recently shared a slew of insults about singer "Sam Smith" on his Sirius XM radio show.
USA Today reports that while counting down some of radio's top songs, Stern came across Smith's hit single "Stay With Me."
Although Stern admitted to liking the song and admiring Smith's vocal ability--he compared the UK crooner to Adele--he still managed to pack in a number of insults against Smith, calling him ugly, fat, and incapable of producing more hit records.
"You know what I like about the guy? He's an ugly (expletive). He's fat. ... Is he gay? He looks gay to me, not that anybody looks gay, but he does seem effeminate. ... I like that he's chubby and gay. That's why I love him. He's one of those guys I feel like, he's really good but I feel like that will be his only hit song -- beautiful voice. That's how good that song is. He's fat and he's gay and little girls worship him. That's when you know you have a good song and a good voice. .. I'd like to get him in here to congratulate him on beating the odds. He's like the male Adele," Stern said on his radio show.
Following Stern's radio rant, Smith took to Twitter to indirectly respond to Stern.

E! News reports that Stern's insulting description of Smith and his music comes on the heels of the singer alluding to a recent break up with his boyfriend, Jonathan Zeizel.
While performing in Toronto, Smith talked about his ballad, "Good Thing" and explained that the song was inspired by someone who he was once forced to breakup with.
Smith later revealed that he was forced to do the same thing once again with someone who he was recently seeing.
Smith has yet to publicly confirm his breakup.
