Chicago Defender later reported that Daniels seemingly confirmed Washington's appearance on "Empire" in a recent interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer. W, Daniels responded,

"Denzel hasn't done television in 30 years, but he saw the pilot and said, 'I've got to be a part of this,'" Daniels responded when asked if he successfully convinced Washington to appear on "Empire."

Daniels has yet to confirm what role Washington will play on "Empire."

In addition to Washington, other celebrities that have been confirmed to guest star on the show include Lenny Kravitz, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Naomi Campbell, Raven-Symoné, Macy Gray, Courtney Love and Foxy Brown, EurWeb reports.

Daniels most recently confirmed Patti LaBelle's guest appearance on "Empire" and posted a photo on Instagram of himself and the legendary singer smiling over the news.

Prior to the news of Washington's guest star role on "Empire," rapper and producer, 50 Cent slammed the series for allegedly copying the same marketing plan that he has for his own series, "Power."

"POWER Season 2 is unbelievably good trust me," 50 Cent said via Twitter."I have the best writers and show runner. I like Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson. I don't like that They would copy the Marketing."

Following Jackson's snarky post, Henson shot back at the rapper/TV producer with her own series of tweets. Check them out below.

Despite the online feud, Henson and Howard later attempted to ease the tension between the two TV series by praising 50 Cent and his "Power" TV series in an interview with The Wrap.
