It looks like the casting directors for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie have finally got the hang of things. On Thursday, they reportedly filled one of the last major roles with actor Victor Rasuk.

According to Deadline, Rasuk will play Jose, a classmate and friend of Anastasia Steele, who will be played by Dakota Johnson. Jose is a photographer who dreams of making romantic Kodak moments with Anastasia. To do so, however, he will have to compete with Christian Grey, the kinky, dominating businessman played by Jamie Dornan.

Rasuk, 29, appeared in Lords of Dogtown, where he met Nikki Reed, his girlfriend from 2004-2006, E! reports. Similarly to Dornan, Rasuk's career has been pretty low-key. He has however, starred in HBO's "How to Make it America," 2002's Raising Victor Vargas and alongside Ashton Kutcher in 2013's Jobs.

The actor, who IMDB says is of Dominican descent, worked hard before getting his big break.

"I used to haul paintings at an art gallery," Rasuk said in an interview with GQ in 2011. "They were really amazing paintings but also really heavy because they had really heavy frames. I had to do that one summer."

Despite being an actor for over 10 years, Rasuk still gets butterflies in his stomach when filming.

"I still get nervous," he told Complex in 2011. "I've been in this business for around 10 years now, and you get jaded a little bit, but there are always those projects that you really care about ... I don't throw up anymore, but I still get the jitters ... I like the feeling of getting nervous because it lets me know that I'm not jaded."

Filming for Fifty Shades of Grey will begin Dec. 2. Its original Aug. 1, 2014 release date is in question.
