Lady Gaga and her boyfriend of over two years, Taylor Kinney, have reportedly split because of the pop star's demanding work schedule.

The "Applause" singer, 27, and the "Chicago Fire" actor, 32, have been together since 2011. Lady Gaga lately has been extremely busy, working on her upcoming album "Artpop" and performing at concerts to promote her new record. It seems like Gaga's successful pop career has put her romantic relationship into jeopardy.

A source says that the couple may have split because Kinney can't handle Lady Gaga's nonstop working side.

"Taylor has told her she's married to her career and that he can't deal with dating Gaga the megastar and all her obsessions and alter egos."

"He loves the cool, down-to-earth girl but hardly gets to see her. Gaga never stops working - she writes songs in the shower and dreams up new outfits in her sleep."

The pair hasn't been pictured together in public since August, and Taylor is certainly frustrated at the lack of alone time he gets to spend with his own girlfriend, who is always surrounded by people.

"She has a whole security team as well as several assistants with her at all times. Out of every month there's maybe just one night out of her and his crazy work schedules that they can be a couple."

The "Bad Romance" singer has previously expressed her trouble balancing her work with romance, when she posted on Twitter about her new song "I Wanna Be With U" back in September. "#iwannabewithu is also about following my dreams but falling in love at the same time she wrote," she tweeted. "#Wish I could have both, but I can't on the road."

The couple is seemingly on the rocks. Kinney was also photographed with his co-star Brittany Curran at the recent Red Sox baseball game, when Curran posted a snapshot of her and Jason sitting with a group of friends last week after celebrating the Boston team's victory.
