Chris Christie News 2015: NJ Governor's Support of the Cowboys Resulted in Leaked Video of Him Falling Off Chair [Watch]
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is known for rubbing people the wrong way due to his aggressive political style and curt remarks.
Nevertheless, it was Christie's cheering for the Dallas Cowboys that irritated a local sports radio host in Philadelphia so much that he sought retribution against the Republican governor by leaking an embarrassing video clip of him.
On Friday, radio personality Angelo Cataldi of SportsRadio 94WIP in Philly released footage of Christie falling off of a chair during a radio interview at WIP back in June 2014. In the video, Christie is seen approaching a chair and microphone in preparation for his interview, when he falls off the chair and lands on his bottom.
According to E! News, Caraldi, who lives in Jersey, decided to release the footage six months later because he was "appalled" to see a clip of Christie hugging the owner of the Cowboys, Jerry Jones, during the Cowboys-Lions playoff game earlier in January. A number of other hard core NFL fans on the east coast have also made a stink over the video, which shows Christie trying to give Jones a double high five, followed by a big hug.
Cataldi "was appalled by Christie's decision to cheer for his beloved Dallas Cowboys in owner Jerry Jones' box during the team's playoff run, including during Week 15's Cowboys-Eagles game in Philadelphia," writes Wing Bowl 23.
Obviously, the clip enraged Philadelphia Eagles fans, so it just a matter of time before someone got revenge on the GOP leader.
NJ.com reports that the sports radio host published the video of Christie's epic fall on the day of Philadelphia's 23rd annual Wing Bowl eating competition.
This just goes to show that Christie might want to be a little more discreet when he is cheering for the Cowboys.
