Veteran shooting guard Ray Allen could make his decision after the 2015 NBA All-Star weekend, ESPN reported.

Sources told ESPN insider Brian Windhorst that Allen is still undecided on whether to retire or make another run for a title this season, but the 39-year-old has been working out continuously to stay in shape for a possible return.

Windhorst also added that Allen has been in talks with several teams about his future and will likely engage in discussions with interested squads in the All-Star break later this week.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have long been considered as favorites in the race to sign Allen since the offseason because of his ties with several players playing for the Cavs like former Miami Heat teammates LeBron James, Mike Miller and James Jones.

James reportedly visited Allen in Miami last month to gauge his interest in playing in Cleveland this season. The Cavaliers have made several moves in January, but has left one spot on their roster for the possible arrival of Allen, who could add scoring and outside shooting threat to the star-studded squad.

However, Allen will reportedly consider his potential role in a team before signing a contract. Signing with the Cavaliers will not give him a big role after Cleveland acquired guards Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith in a three-team trade involving the New York Knicks and Oklahoma City Thunder last month.

The Atlanta Hawks have also emerged as a strong contender to sign Allen, who averaged 9.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 26.5 minutes per game for the Heat last season. Allen wants to play for a title contender, and the Hawks are currently on top of the Eastern Conference standings with their 43-10 record.

However, Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer, whose team lost shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha for six to eight weeks to injury, expressed concern about the possible effect of adding another player to their team's solid chemistry.

"We really like our group. You are hesitant to do anything," Budenholzer said in an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution last week when asked about adding another player following Sefolosha's injury. "There is a little more opportunity for a six- to eight-week window but I don't think it changes much if at all."

Aside from the Cavaliers and Hawks, the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Washington Wizards and the Heat also reportedly contacted Allen over the past several weeks.
