"House of Cards" fans were able to get a quick preview of what is in store for Season 3 when episodes leaked on Netflix this past week, CNN Money reported.

For about 20 minutes, fans and entertainment writers were given a special sneak peak of season three of "House of Cards." Netflix acted quickly and took the episodes down, but viewers were able to receive some early clues about the show.

The showrunner for "House of Cards," Beau Willimon, is not mad though, according to the Hollywood Reporter. He is encouraged by the excitement the show's fans have. The official release date of Season 3 is Feb. 27.

"I thought it was great," he said to the publication. "I was actually very amused by the whole thing and then delighted to see what a huge response we got from the fans. So many people are excited about what's going to happen two weeks from now."

Willimon said he does not think fans were able to figure out everything that happens in Season 3.

"No harm done," he said. "We take great care, obviously, to keep as much of the story secret as possible and there a little bit of the story was let out but there are plenty of surprises ahead. Twenty minutes is not enough for people to have figured everything out."

Willimon said fans might try to guess what happens – some may be right and some wrong – but he won't reveal any secrets.

"There's plenty of speculation on the Web in terms of what people gathered from watching those first 20 minutes or people who scrubbed ahead to subsequent episodes. And all I will say is some of that speculation is right and some of it is wrong," he said.

"But I won't tell you which is which."

Fans will be able to see the show Feb. 27 on Netflix. The show was recently nominated for Best Drama by the Writers' Guild.
