"Saturday Night Live" has entertained households for 40 years, and on Sunday, the show will do it for three-and-a-half hours, Mashable reports.

The special show will take place on Sunday, live from Rockefeller Center, at 7 p.m. eastern time.

The episode is expected to be a big one, and only A-List approved guests will be able to fill the live studio audience.

America will see current and past "SNL" stars such as Tom Hanks, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Paul McCartney, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Miley Cyrus, Betty White, Dana Carvey, Chevy Chase and Steve Martin.

Those are just the confirmed guests – there will be more.

Music artists Taylor Swift and Kanye West are expected to be in attendance. That could lead to a funny skit between the two.

NBC wants fans of the show to get social. It is encouraging fans to follow along on Twitter and Facebook and even providing some behind the scenes access for those who do.

Before the event starts, there will be a red carpet special at 6 p.m. eastern, featuring "Today" stars Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Carson Daly and Al Roker prepping viewers for the special episode.

NBC has even created an app to get viewers excited about the 40th Anniversary of "SNL." The app includes special emojis from the shows.

'NSync has hinted they will reunite at the 40th Anniversary Special on their official Twitter account, according to Rolling Stone.

The band tweeted, "Together again... Gee, it's good to be together again."

Early fans of "Saturday Night Live" will likely be in for a treat. The special Sunday will feature Chase and Sandler, and they could recreate some of their sketches from the early days.
