George Zimmerman Arrested: Charged with Felony Aggravated Assault Against Girlfriend
George Zimmerman is still in jail after getting arrested on Monday following a fight with his new girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe. His bail is set at $9,000.
He is being charged with felony aggravated assault as well as a domestic violence and criminal mischief. Both Zimmerman and his girlfriend called 911 and the calls conflict each other. Zimmerman said he wouldn't do anything to the woman because she is pregnant, but the woman said that she is not even pregnant. She also claimed that Zimmerman pointed a shotgun at her.
You put your gun in my freaking face," Scheibe said to Zimmerman during the 911 call. "Get out of my house. Do not push me out of my house. Please get out of my house."
According to the terms of his bail he would have to wear a monitoring device and would not be allowed to leave the state of Florida. He also wouldn't be able to be in contact with the woman he was involved with and would be banned from multiple addresses.
Zimmerman became famous after he was involved with the death of Trayvon Martin. In a nationally televised trial that took place in Florida, the jury found Zimmerman not guilty of murder.
Ever since the trial ended, Zimmerman has been in the news several times. Shortly after the news broke that the couple would be on their way to a divorce, Zimmerman went home to collect his belongings but ended up fighting with Shellie. She proceeded to call the police but no arrests were made.
