Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs, Price, Photos 2015: Leaked Pictures Reveal a Curved Display
Fans are getting an early look at what the Samsung Galaxy S6 will look like.
The Galaxy S6 will be introduced March 1, but thanks to leaked pictures, potential buyers now know what the phone will look like, according to T-Mobile's website.
The Galaxy S6 through a marketing campaign called "Six Appeal" is shown with curved edges and a shiny metal back.
T-Mobile was the first to tease the phone on their website telling customers to come back March 1 to get more information on the phone.
AT&T posted the same "Six Appeal" advertisement for the new phone but used a blue color on the screen.
Before Monday, customers had been teased by Samsung's latest video. In the video Samsung gave clues on what the phone would be like:
"Tomorrow, metals will flow. Beauty will be powerful. Borders will disappear. Reflections will be free. Colors will leap. The future will be the present."
There is definitely more metal on the phone, the entire back will be made of metal. The "borders will disappear" clue is likely referring to the curved edges.
Some early reports say that the curved edge might only be on one side of the phone, while others say that both edges will have a curved display, CNet reports.
Samsung plans to reveal the Samsung Edge on the same day. If the Edge gets curved edges on both sides of the phone, does that mean the Galaxy S6 only gets one curved edge?
Samsung has defended using plastic for its Galaxy S phones, but the company will finally switch over to metal. Previous Galaxy S phones seemed cheap when put in comparison to iPhones.
Samsung will officially debut the next Galaxy at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. They will have an event March 1, before MWC which runs March 2-5.
What do you think of the new Galaxy S6? Will it be Samsung's best phone?
