'Fashion Police' Cast & News 2015: Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson Wants to Replace Kelly Osbourne, Says No One Does Fashion Better Than Him
Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson has expressed interest in joining the TV show "Fashion Police." The show recently lost Kelly Osbourne and Johnson seriously wants to be hired, TMZ reports.
Obsourne has had problems with the show's producers for quite some time. Those problems reached their highest when her co-host Guiliana Rancic made comments about Zendaya's dreadlocks on the red carpet at the Oscars.
One HollywoodLife.com source alleged, "[Giuliana] thought about quitting the show, but that's not going to happen, she's way too ambitious to quit. She wants to see Kelly leave though, she's going to play nice with her for the cameras but you better believe she'll be doing anything she can to get her off the show. This means war."
Osbourne threatened to quit "Fashion Police" unless Rancic apologized to Zendaya. Rancic did apologize, but Osbourne was still upset with the show and walked off Friday. Apparently, there has been tension between Osbourne and the show's producers for weeks.
Now that Osbourne is gone, one source tells TMZ Johnson "REALLY wants" to join "Fashion Police" and take her place.
"Who better when it comes to fashion than me? I rarely wear labels or high-end clothing and kill it," Johnson told TMZ.
Producers will need to find a replacement for Osbourne; does Johnson have a chance? Nothing has been announced yet, but Johnson definitely has some skills that would make him a good candidate. He is comfortable behind a camera, having starred in his own reality show "Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch."
Johnson played 11 seasons in the NFL, 10 with the Cincinnati Bengals and one with the New England Patriots. In 2008, he legally changed his name to Chad Ochocinco. He changed it back to Chad Johnson in 2012.
