Bobbi Kristina Brown Hospitalized: Bobby Brown Holds Vigil at Daughter's Bedside to Mark 22nd Birthday
Bobby Brown kept a nonstop vigil at his daughter's bedside on Wednesday, as the only daughter born to him and Whitney Houston turned 22.
Bobbi Kristina Brown has remained in a medically induced coma and on life support since being rushed to the hospital on Jan. 31 after being found face-down in the bath tub of a home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon.
According to TMZ.com, Brown invited several of his family members to join him as he kept watch over his daughter. Since Bobbi Kristina's been hospitalized, he and members of the Houston family are the only people who have been allowed to visit his daughter on an almost daily basis.
But TMZ reports, Brown wanted things to be different for Bobbi Kristina's birthday, prompting him to extend the added invites. Someone who almost certainly will not be receiving one is Gordon.
Family members have prevented Gordon from visiting Bobbi Kristina since her hospitalization and police have launched a criminal investigation around the circumstances of her injuries after she was discovered to have several unexplained bruises on her body.
Several media outlets, such as Us Weekly, have reported the probe targets Gordon as the primary suspect. On Tuesday night, he tweeted: "I'm so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to stay strong."
Hours later Gordon posted: "Happy Birthday baby I wish I was there with you to hold you and be by your side."
Bobby Brown has insisted he will not allow Gordon to see his daughter until he agrees to certain demands, one of which is believed to be submitting to a police interview.
Bobbi Kristina was found nearly three years after her mother's body was pulled from a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel where she was staying. Investigators later found Whitney Houston had drugs in her system at the time of her death.
