The Tribeca Film Festival has announced its World Narrative and documentary Competitions with a number of Latino films and stars attached to these films.

In the World Narrative Competition, Costa Rica will compete with "Viaje." The film is directed by Paz Fabrega and it is making its world premiere. The movie tells the story of Luciana and Pedro who spark up a spontaneous rendezvous when Luciana accompanies Pedro to a national forest on a work trip. The movie marks Fabrega's second feature film and her first at the Tribeca Film Festival.

John Leguizamo will represent the Latino community in Reed Morano's directorial debut "Meadowland." The film also stars Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson and tells the story of Sarah and Phil's relationship. When their son goes missing, their life together is shattered and they each must learn to find their own way to cope.

In the world documentary competition, Cuba will be represented with "Havana Motor Club." The movie is directed by Bent-Jorgen Perlmutt and offers a fascinating glimpse at the resilience and ingenuity of the competitive spirit in Cuba.

In the viewpoints section, Brazilian filmmaker Natalia Leite will bring her feature "Bar." The movie stars Dianna Agron and Paz de la Huerta and tells the story of Sarah, whose mundane life in a Nevada desert town is turned upside down with the arrival of Pepper, a mysterious female drifter, who leads her into a life of seedy strip clubs and illicit drugs. Their passion inspires Sarah to break free of her past and seek out a new life of her own.

The section will also see the Argentian film "El Cinco" makes it North American premiere. The feature directed by Adrian Biniez, tells the story of Patón, a veteran star of his city's soccer team. When his transgressions land him a lengthy suspension, he considers retirement, while discovering a world that consists of more than just feet and fists. The movie premiered at the Zurich Film Festival, where it scored rave reviews.

The documentary "Gored" will also be featured in the Viewpoints section. The film directed by Ido Mizrahy centers on Spanish bullfighter Antonio Barrera, holder of the dubious title of "Most Gored Bullfighter in History," as he grapples with the end of his career.

The section will also include "Lucifer," directed by Gust Van den Berghe. The movie is inspired by the Bible and tells the story of an angel whose fall from heaven to hell, unexpectedly landing in a Mexican village where his presence affects the villagers in surprising ways.

Other films that will be in the festival include "The Adderall Diaries" starring James Franco, Ed Harris, and Cynthia Nixon, "Franny" starring Richard Gere, Dakota Fanning and Theo James, and the Sundance Documentary Grand Jury Prizer winner "The Wolfpack."

The Tribeca Film Festival will take place from April 15 to 26 and will feature 100 features. The festival has yet to announce its Spotlight, Midnight, Storyscapes sections as well as its shorts program. The festival will also hold a number of press conferences and panel discussions.
