Miranda Lambert showed up at the 47th annual Country Music Association Awards looking slim and fit. Her husband Blake Shelton even tweeting about "how hot [his] wife is". Well, of course, the media immediately started the rumor that Lambert's new thin figure was due to the good old Kardashian method of surgery.

Miranda, who is usually very quiet and hardly ever responses to any media criticism decided to speak up. The 30-year old country star shared a letter with her fans on her official website addressing the rumors. She wrote; "Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight...I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight, that is ridiculous". The letter was pretty long but some of the highlights were that "[she] lost the weight in a healthy and good old fashioned way...watching what I eat and working out with [her] trainer Bill Crutchfield". Lambert also said that "it's not about a scale, it's about how you feel and how your jeans fit" adding "I just turned 30, my skinny jeans were finally baggy! Mission accomplished!". Miranda also talked about how she is proud to be a "normal size girl" and how she encourages all women to feel confident about their sizes.

Sorry but this country gal doesn't need to run to a surgeon to look the way she wants. Miranda is a confident woman with a strong demeanor who has nothing to hide! Plus, she herself told E! News at the Country Award show that her weight does "fluctuate all the time-it's really annoying" mentioning that she was "getting ahead of the game" and taking control of it. Gosh, can a girl work out and slim down just out of diet and exercise anymore? Not all of Hollywood relies on surgery, though the vast amount does....okay I see your point, but Miranda just let you know she isn't one of them! You go girl!
