The actor who played Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher, in the original "Star Wars" trilogy believes the new movie, slated to be released at the end of this year, is cursed, following accidents involving Harrison Ford and herself.

Fisher, who will be returning to the new "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens" alongside Ford, believes the movie is cursed, explaining she had been in car accident just days before Ford was in a plane crash, according to the Toronto Sun.

Ford survived a plane crash last week. He crashed a vintage World War II plane at a Los Angeles golf court, breaking his pelvis and an ankle.

Fisher said she thinks a curse is following the movie after she was almost in a bad car crash.

"Things happen in threes. I'm about to call (co-star) Mark Hamill to make sure he's OK. I have a horrid feeling there's a curse going on here," she said.

"What is funny is that last Sunday it was raining hard in LA. I was driving to the art store, and I got into an accident. It wasn't that serious and I wasn't hurt, but it's the first car accident I've ever had. I drove home, and that's when the wheel came off my BMW. My assistant told me I could have died if the wheel had come off when I was on the freeway. Then I was watching the news and saw Harrison had his crash. I'm a bit worried it's the curse of Star Wars."

Following Ford's crash, Fisher joked a bit about her colleague's misfortune, according to People magazine.

"I know you have incredible bounce back, please take a bounce break for awhile. Can I drive next time?" she said.

Many of the other costars, including Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), sent messages of support after Ford's accident.
