Christina Milian will join John Stamos for "Grandpa," a new Fox show to be released sometime this year, according to Deadline.

In the show, Stamos character is the bachelor Jimmy. Jimmy discovers he is not only a father but also a grandfather. His son, Gerald, played by Josh Peck, is an unemployed techie but a successful father to his 2-year-old daughter.

Jimmy finds out through his ex-girlfriend Sara, played by Paget Brewster, that he has a son 26 years ago. After raising him on her own, she tells him Gerald could use a strong father figure in his life. Sara was a former rocker chick who for all these years has kept Gerald a secret, but now she is ready to tell Jimmy about him.

Christina Milian plays Vanessa, the "hot mess" who had a one night stand with Gerald that led to their daughter.

Vanessa starts warming up to Gerald, but then she meets his cool dad and is immediately interested in him. Of course, Gerald hates this, according to DigitalSpy.

"Grandpa" is written by Danny Chun and produced by Dan Fogelman. Chun is known for being a writer for the show "The Office." Stamos will also be an executive producer for the show.

Millian is better known for her music career, but she has appeared as a guest on the shows "CSI" and "Smallville." And this year, she will be quite busy, as she will also be in "East Los High."

She will be a music producer on the Hulu show, according to Variety. She will be working with Camila, who is learning more about the music industry.

Stamos is a veteran actor. He appeared in "Full House," "ER," and the ABC prime time soap opera "Members Only." Stamos and fellow "Full House" cast members are trying to bring back the show, and Netflix is considering adding it to their lineup, according to Splitsider.

The premiere date for the show is unknown. The show has been in talks since fall 2014. At first, it did not have a name, but it was recently given the title of "Grandpa."
