When Puerto Rican Reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee isn't making music, running a record label or launching a new product, he's an avid gamer behind the scenes. Known for hits, like "Gasolina," the multifaceted star, whose been named as "one of most influential Hispanics in the world" by both CNN and Time Magazine, is releasing a new video game called "Trylogy Tower Defense."

Daddy Yankee gave some of Latin A-listers a sneak peek of the newest video game to hit the market during the Latin Grammys after party hosted by Cosmo en Español and Universal Music at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. "Trylogy Tower Defense" will official launch on Nov. 29.

"Trylogy Tower Defense is a 3D action video game from a series known as Tower Defense Games, in which a hero tries to stop enemies from crossing a map by building traps to slow them down and towers from which they are shot at," according to The Music Universe. On the Daddy Yankee game, the artist is both the hero and a third person character that is able to shoot."

"Tower Defense Trylogy" successfully presented at Comic Con in New York where young and old were impressed by the adventures of the 3D action game, according to Ipauta.com.

The New York Comic Con "brings together the best and talented artists who are at the forefront of the world of novels and graphic comics series and television movies, anime and manga, toys and video games."

Many who attended Comic Con were "excited" about "Trylogy's" game features, and its affordability.

"In addition, players who do not even speak Spanish did not depart from exposure and sang some of the greatest hits of Daddy Yankee "Gasolina" and "Limbo," (songs that are featured in the game) Ipauta.com added.

There is a couple interesting components of Trylogy Tower Defense, The Music Universe points out, priced at US $10, the video game can be played from the user's Facebook and Twitter accounts.

"So, no matter where one is, one can play the hottest action video game of the moment... starting Daddy Yankee!" The Music Universe pointed out.

Daddy Yankee's real name is Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez. He was born in Río Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised in the Villa Kennedy Housing Projects. While he had prospects set on playing professional baseball (he tried out for the Seattle Mariners Major League baseball team), his plans were derailed by a stray bullet. He was shot from a stray round from an AK-47 rifle while taking a break from a studio recording session with reggaeton mix tape icon DJ Playero. After a year and a half recovery, Daddy Yankee decided to solely focus on his music career, which proved to be one of his best moves.

He is most known for his album, "Barrio Fino" which became "the top-selling Latin urban album of all time" and the track, "'Gasolina' single-handedly launched reggaetón to the world, Daddy Yankee continues to be the most influential and recognizable name in Latin urban and dance music, with over 11 million albums sold," according to his official website.

Daddy Yankee has more than 15 million fans combined throughout his social networks (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vevo, & DaddyYankee.com) and several awards, including Urban Latin Artist of the Decade by Billboard Magazine."

In the summer of 2012 on he released his own label, El Cartel Records and he's also launched of his own tequila, El Cartel, a new line of headphones with Section 8, which premiered at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show. Yankee also launched his own "Legends of the Game" line of luxury watches with Azad Watches Inc.

Daddy Yankee found himself in some hot water recently for reportedly losing a court battle after cancelling a 10-city tour in Argentina with only two-days, notice. On Nov. 21, the 36-year-old Puerto Rican star was ordered to pay up $6 million to a concert promoter that sued him for damages and stress. Maybe he's been spending too much time promoting his video game?
