Raini Rodriguez will soon see how things look on the other side of the camera when she tries directing "Austin & Ally," the show she stars in as Trish, according to Variety.

Rodriguez always wanted to try directing. This is the last season of "Austin & Ally," and she figured directing for the first time would be easier if it were for a show she was so familiar with.

Rodriguez said that she has been on the set for four years and is familiar with the cast and crew.

"They all support me and want me to succeed, so it's the perfect place for me to get my start. There is no other set I would want to share my first directing experience with," she said.

Rodriguez says she loves being able to tell the story from both the actor's point of view and also the director's.

"As the director, you're in charge of everything from camera angles to what kind of socks this character would wear. It's so much fun," she said.

Rodriguez thanked fellow cast members Ross Lynch, Laura Marano and Calum Worthy for their support. She said that when she told them she wanted to direct, they all encouraged her to do it.

When asked if she would like to direct more "Austin & Ally" shows or other projects, Rodriguez said she loves directing and would like to continue doing it in the future. She says her dream is to write, produce, direct and star in a project she worked on.

Rodriguez says she has gotten plenty of help from other directors and cast members of the show. She said once when she was stuck on a scene she asked her brother Rico, who stars in "Modern Family" for help and he helped her figure it out.

The "Austin & Ally" episode that Rodriguez will direct will air later this season. It is unknown what date the episode will air. It will air on the Disney Channel.
