President Barack Obama ethers Kanye West during a recent Jimmy Kimmel Show appearance, telling the host the rap star's claims that he "calls the home phone" are purely figments of his imagination.

According to Us Magazine, after recently conceding during a speech before students that "I understand that I'm a servant," West nonetheless boasted: "Obama calls the home by the way."

During his Wednesday night Kimmel appearance, Obama told the host: "I've met Kanye twice. The first time when I was a senator. He was with his mom [the late Donda West]. He had just gotten big. He's from Chicago, so they wanted to meet. He was very soft-spoken, very gracious. He was a young guy. He hadn't quite... come into his own."

The president also recollects that his second encounter with West came last October after he had taken up with now-wife Kim Kardashian and became a part of the family's well-oiled reality TV brand.

"Look, I love his music," said the president. "He's incredibly creative. I don't think I've got his home number."

On at least two different occasions, the president has previously referred to West as a "jackass." Over the years, the outspoken West has created a reputation for himself that hasn't always endeared himself to everyone.

West infamously rushed the stage during the 2009 VMA Awards to admonish Taylor Swift that she did not deserve her album of the year honors and assert that the award should have gone to Beyonce.

More recently, West and Swift have reportedly buried the hatchet to the point of now being in the studio working on new music together. West has also recently told reporters that he's convinced his recent marriage to Kim Kardashian and the two having a young daughter together has made him a better person and better man.
